Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Richmond, BC

Type: Full-time Contract

Hybrid Work: 50% remote, 50% on-site

Travel: 10%

We are seeking a talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Software team. As part of an Agile group of embedded software engineers, you’ll collaborate to develop communication interfaces and control software for our cloud-connected inverter products and accessories. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of firmware for a multi-interface communication module.
• Develop detailed requirements and specifications based on product and system needs, working closely with marketing managers, engineering project managers, and other technical innovators across global locations.
• Work within a team of embedded firmware engineers and system engineers to implement specified functionality.
• Promote and embrace Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Program real-time, multi-threaded, and concurrent embedded systems using C/C++.
• Follow established development guidelines and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Strong understanding of networking protocols and embedded real-time applications.
