Role Summary:In this role, you will be part of the vehicle access team, responsible for designing and building highly complex systems spanning multiple domains that bring new vehicle access features, improved functionality, and better performance to how users interact with our vehicles. In this multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the software stack taking various vehicle access features from concept to production.
Responsibilities:- Shape the hardware and vehicle access software systems architecture for upcoming generations of vehicles.
- Take ideas through stages of concept, design, execution, deployment and hardening in a production environment.
- Work closely with other development and cross-functional team members in software such as mobile app, Body Controls, product security, Infotainment, VUX teams and EE/Hardware teams not only in vehicle access but other cross functional initiatives.
- Develop tooling and automation to aid in developer productivity
- Work with platform SW and HW teams on board bring up, validation activities.
- B.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong collaboration and systems mindset.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or Linux fundamentals and experience building concurrent systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic development environment.
- Product-focused mindset to passionately take ideas from R&D to large scale production.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in automotive systems and applications
- Experience with wireless networks including BLE, UWB, 802.15.4, and NFC
- Scripting languages (for example Python)
- Working experience building SIL/HIL and other automation systems.
- Experience with CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: 116,000 - 145,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
