Position:
The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered products. This role involves setting up machines, selecting and loading designs, ensuring quality control, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the embroidery process. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate embroidery machines according to specifications, including loading designs, threading needles, and adjusting settings
Load and configure designs based on customer specifications, ensuring the correct placement, color, and size of embroidery
Monitor machines during operation to ensure quality standards are met
Adjust machine settings for different types of fabrics and design requirements
Perform color matching and thread selection based on design requirements
Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring that designs are accurately reproduced and meet quality standards
Make necessary adjustments to correct issues like misalignment, thread breaks, or machine malfunctions
Manage inventory of threads, needles, and other supplies, ensuring that necessary materials are available for ongoing projects
Maintain records of completed orders, including design specifications, materials used, and any issues encountered during production
Perform routine maintenance on embroidery machines, including cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles or other parts as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience
Experience with embroidery machines, such as Tajima, Barudan, or similar
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to read and interpret design files and specifications
Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance
Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report any issues
Good time management and organizational skills
Basic computer skills for design setup and machine operation
Work Environment:
Manufacturing/production/warehouse environment
Exposure to noise from embroidery machines
Fast-paced, with deadlines to meet for customer orders
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
