Intertek is searching for an EMC Business Service Line Leader to join our Electricalteam in our Duluth, GA office.
The EMC Business Service Line Leader will be responsible for driving growth and enhancing the profitability of Intertek's EMC services in the US. This role involves working closely with the sales team to identify new clients, expand existing client relationships, support sales in project scoping, assist operations in quoting, and train the North American sales team on positioning our EMC services effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and target potential new clients for EMC services.
- Develop strategies to expand the spend of current clients by identifying additional service opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work with operations to keep them up to date and industry trends to support new capex requests.
Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team in scoping projects to ensure accurate understanding of client requirements and expectations.
- Provide technical input during the sales process to develop compelling proposals.
- Work with operations to develop accurate and competitive quotes for EMC testing services.
Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs for the North American sales team on EMC services, market positioning, and client benefits working with Intertek.
- Equip the sales team with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell EMC services and differentiate Intertek from competitors.
- Continuously update training materials to reflect the latest industry trends and service enhancements.
Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve growth targets for the EMC service line.
- Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics(new customers, quotes, orders and revenue), adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
- Support Marketing in client facing materials like educational fact sheet, whitepapers, webinars, etc.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between sales and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on goals and expectations.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on business performance, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in EMC testing services or a related industry.
- Proven track record in business development and sales support.
- Strong understanding of EMC testing standards, regulations, and market requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in training and developing sales teams is highly desirable.
