- BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon.

- Interview and obtain an accurate medical history from the patient, family members and bystanders.
- Calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print, both under life-threatening time constraints.
- Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, BSA Policies and Department Guidelines.
- Perform duties under intermittent or continuous physiological duress including but not limited to: bodies with known or unknown communicable diseases; environments with known or unknown hazardous materials, chemical materials or biological materials; persons with known or unknown mental or psychological disorders; unruly or verbally abusive persons; violent or combative persons; dead or dying persons; family or friends of dead or dying persons and life and death assessment-triage-treatment decisions.
Job Requirements:
- Certification as ECA by the Texas Department of State Health Services
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR
Preferred Job Requirements:
- ECA Registry
- Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS)
- 9-1-1 field experience
- Operation of wheelchair van and wheelchair lift experience
