Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $56,600 - Midpoint: $73,600 (Salaried E9)

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Emergency Management Coordinator I assists with management and leadership for specific areas within the Emergency Management department.
Additional Department Summary: Along with other duties, the incumbent will provide training and exercises that enhance the University's emergency management capabilities, serves as the internship program coordinator, provides technology support, and serves as part of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) command staff during emergencies.
Must be able to work outside of normal work hours.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some emergency management experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write comprehensive plans and procedures. Ability to use Microsoft Office, internet, and social media. Ability to learn Veoci, SharePoint and WordPress. Ability to develop exercises and training. Ability to problem solve.

Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Emergency Management or related field. Previous work experience in emergency management, public safety, or closely related area. Emergency Management certification from International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) or State Association.
