The Northeast Health District of the Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will work with a small team in planning, preparing, and responding to general population and healthcare related emergencies throughout a 10-county area. Duties will include working with local agencies to have plans in place for mass dispensing of medication and /or vaccination to the general population, as well as working with large companies, local governments, and healthcare facilities to create individualized plans. The candidate will frequently meet with other public agencies to discuss planning and exercise initiatives. Attending public outreach events focused on emergency preparedness is expected as well. State and federal reporting timelines must be met. A candidate that can organize data proficiently is preferred. Candidate should be a team player and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
