Emergency and Trauma Physician Assistant - Jackson + Coker

Trauma/Critical Care Surgery NP or PA Locums Job Starting Early November and Ongoing Seeking 7-10 Shifts per Month

Jackson + Coker is partnered with a facility located in the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia that needs one to two NPs or PAs that are experienced with trauma surgery/critical care surgery to assist with in-house coverage starting in mid to late December. The facility is seeking to fill an additional 7-10 shifts per month and is open to your specific availability.

Dates of coverage needed on the 2024 schedule: December 20 - January 3 (AM)

Details/Requirements for assignment :
Must have an active & unrestricted Virginia medical license + DEA
ATLS is required
Seeking providers (NPs/PAs) that can offer 7-10 shifts per month (does not have to be consecutive)
Will perform a wide range of tasks along the entire continuum of care of trauma and acute care surgery patients, from admission to discharge + follow up clinic
APPs practice under the supervision of the trauma or acute care surgeon
Have needs for 7A - 7P and/or 7P - 7A shifts (12 hours inhouse)
No call coverage required
Seeking candidates that are comfortable/experienced with placing tubes, central lines & intubating
1st assist is strongly preferred
Facility detail: 450+ beds, MediTech EMR, designated level 1 trauma center
45-60 credentialing timeline - if submitted in September, can anticipate an early November start
