Employee Benefits Temporary Position - Mid-Market Segment (Part-Time) at Alera Group

Alera Group Midwest, formally known as GCG Financial, LLC is seeking to fill a Temporary position on our Employee Benefits mid-market segment team. The individual in this position will report to the Manager of Client Services, Mid-Market, while partnering with the mid-market segment team in a supporting role.

• • Create benefits summaries and open enrollment presentations
  • Create open enrollment guides
  • Process eligibility
  • Review output of deliverables generated through the quoting and renewal process for accuracy and conformance to established standards and quoting process
  • Additional duties as assigned to support the mid- market segment team

• • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2 years employee benefits experience (insurance carrier, benefits administration, insurance brokerage) preferred
  • Insurance carrier and/or insurance brokerage experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of
    • Health and Welfare plans
    • Ancillary Coverage including Life, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Dental, Vision, etc.
  •  Strong attention to detail focused on accuracy with work product quality as a priority
  • Broad understanding of the various regulations surrounding health and welfare plans
  • Effective communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary with high sense of urgency
  • Sound judgment and willingness to take on responsibility for results
  • Highest integrity in as it pertains to confidentiality of client data
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel (creating and verifying financial spreadsheets) and Powerpoint
