Expected salary range of $117,000 to $130,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Responsibilities:This Employee Concerns Program Representative is for the Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown, PA (near Harrisburg).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provides day-to-day oversight and administration of the site Employee Concerns Program. Investigates employee issues at the assigned facility, and assists with investigations at other facilities under the direction of the Corporate Employee Concerns Manager (ECM). Monitors health of the Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) to identify any emergent issues, and provides critical feedback to Station Leadership with respect to SCWE behaviors. Supports the Independent Oversight function at the direction of the ECP Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform reviews and conduct investigations of employee issues to ensure issues are promptly addressed, and results communicated to the concerned individual and appropriate levels of management.
- Actively engage the site leadership team to develop and present information that promotes an environment where individuals feel free to raise issues without fear of retribution. Observe site activities and provide timely and critical feedback to leadership with respect to SCWE behaviors.
- Provide independent analysis of employee issues and NRC referred allegations, including the identification of station specific trends to the Corporate Employee Concerns Manager.
- Maintain a visible presence at the site by ensuring ECP contact information is available and actively engage the workforce through pulsing interviews and promoting the ECP mission, vision, and values at both leadership and department level meetings.
- Provide oversight and administration of the site Employee Concerns Program.
This includes:
- Monitor of ECP input channels (Email, Hotline, U.S. mail, etc...)
- Participate in Safety Culture Monitoring Panel reviews.
- Provide monthly ECP statistics to Regulatory Assurance.
- Participate in Nuclear Safety Review Boards.
- Participate in self-assessment and benchmarking of the Employee Concerns Program to ensure effective implementation.
- Conduct special investigations or activities as directed by the ECM.
- Independently support the Oversight function at the direction of the ECM.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of relevant experience at the professional level
- Excellent Observation and Interviews skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safety Conscious Work Environment expectations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to Sr. Management
- Effective Leadership and Investigative skills
- Qualified, or ability to quickly qualify as a, Employee Concerns Representative.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree in a Technical Science or Management Arts.
- Experience investigating within a Nuclear Employee Concern program
- Experience interacting in Industry working groups or forums.
