Blue Streak began in 1984 as a small courier in Jacksonville, Florida. In its early years, the company operated mostly in northeast Florida, offering same-day delivery service to local businesses and organizations. From its origin, Blue Streak has maintained its dedication to offering the most professional, reliable, and friendly service to its customers.
In 2005, Harold Boyett, a 20-year UPS employee, became the new owner of Blue Streak Couriers. He saw great potential for the small courier to become a multi-state, versatile logistics company. With more than a decade of management in transportation under his belt and an enthusiastic devotion to enhancing and expanding a small business, Boyett set forth on his mission to transform Blue Streak into a southeastern regional carrier.
In addition to expanding geographically in the past decade, Blue Streak has also widened the scope of industries it serves. Initially, the courier company worked mostly with banks, moving deposits and documents throughout the city. Now Blue Streak serves a much greater variety of customers, including medical labs, restaurants suppliers, and final mile logistics.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Employee Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will operate a 26' box truck to transport goods to various locations efficiently and safely. This role involves ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining the vehicle, and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, and this is a non-exhaustive list:
- Operate a 26' box truck to deliver products to customers and businesses.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload merchandise in accordance with safety protocols.
- Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes to minimize travel time and fuel usage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records to ensure proper documentation of deliveries.
- Interact with customers professionally and courteously, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise.
- Ensure timely deliveries by managing time effectively and adhering to a schedule.
- Follow company policies regarding safety, vehicle operation, and delivery protocols.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth operations and address any delivery issues.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in supply chain management or business administration is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License with clean motor vehicle record.
- Excellent driving record with a clean background check.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, especially with box trucks, preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 70 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with delivery and loading.
- Familiarity with GPS and delivery tracking systems is a plus.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and a valid forklift certification is preferred (training may be provided).
- The ability to work independently and seek help or assistance as needed
- Self-motivated and highly organized and able to follow specific and dynamic directions
- Distinctly dependable and trustworthy, with a strong and proven work ethic
- Must be 21 years of age
