Overview
The Employee Engagement ad HR Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role involves handling a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of HR processes, including recruitment, orientation, employee record management, and employee relations support. The Employee Engagement Specialist will be the point of contact for HR-related queries and will help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming HR environment.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Supporting the HRBPs, assist in scheduling employee intake and other investigation meetings, type Investigation Summary Report documents, employment law training materials. Assist with employment practices training.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Employee Records Management: Manage & update the employee handbook process & partnership with the HRBPs
- Benefits Administration: Assist the benefits manager with key projects, such as open enrollment processes & employee inquiries
- New Hire Orientation: Partner with HRBPs to design, coordinate and facilitate a New Hire Orientation program to create a welcoming employee experience.
- HR Communication: Own & manage the HR Communication email box. Ensure constant communication & follow up to all inquiries.
- Event Coordination: Assist with organizing HR-related events such as training sessions, wellness programs, and team-building activities.
- Compliance & Reporting: Take ownership of organizing and displaying annual labor law postings and related materials to ensure Bertrandt's compliance with EEO regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in an HR environment.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee information.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
