Employment Associate Attorney - Gpac

Seeking an attorney with 3 -5  years of legal experience to represent clients’ interests in all stages of litigation and contribute to the progression of the firm while working alongside an expert legal team. 

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in Alabama.
• Knowledge of litigation procedures in Alabama.
• Detail oriented, motivated and able to support legal team in complex litigation cases and trial.
• Courtroom experience.
• Experience in handling pretrial discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and trial 
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Effective oral and written interaction.
• Strong work ethic.
• Produce efficient, high-quality work product.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
• Plaintiff employment experience preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of attorney-client relationship
• Work closely with clients and Senior Counsel in all phases of litigation process;
• Arguing motions and presenting cases independently at hearings;
• Preparation for, taking and defending depositions
• Drafting and filing pleadings with appropriate bodies
• Conducting thorough discovery and drafting discovery requests and responses;
•  Conducting legal research
• Adhering to confidentiality requirements and exercising discretion
• Provide other support to Senior Counsel and other legal staff as needed.
