Employment Attorney at Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group

Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a midsized firm to find a labor & employment attorney in Philadelphia!

Job Details:

• Full-time position

• 4-8 years of experience

• Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including discrimination claims, wrongful termination suits, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation cases.
  Prepare pleadings, motions, and other court filings. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop defense strategies. Attend hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and other relevant statutes. 

• Assess potential legal risks and liabilities related to employment practices and policies. Provide proactive guidance to clients to identify and address issues before they escalate into legal disputes. Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend best practices to minimize exposure to litigation.

• Advise on employee handbook policies, employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related documents.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering practical and strategic advice on all aspects of employment law. 
   

Education and Experience: 

• Juris Doctorate Degree

• Licensed to Practice law in PA, NJ is a plus
• Prior employment law experience is required
