About the Job
Nationwide firm in Kansas City in need of an Employment Law Attorney.
You will be responsible for advising clients on employment law matters, representing clients in employment disputes, and developing legal strategies to help clients navigate the complex landscape of employment law. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide them with effective legal solutions to address their employment law concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research and analysis to provide clients with legal advice on a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and employee benefits.
- Drafting legal documents, including employment contracts, policies, and procedures, as well as legal memoranda and court briefs.
- Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation proceedings related to employment disputes.
- Developing and implementing legal strategies to help clients mitigate risks and protect their business interests in the area of employment law.
- Advising clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as changes to employment law that may impact their business operations.
- Conducting training sessions for clients on employment law issues, including workplace harassment and discrimination prevention.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on advising and representing clients in a range of employment law matters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply legal principles to complex business issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulations, as well as experience working with administrative agencies such as the EEOC and DOL.
- Strong client service orientation and a commitment to building long-term relationships with clients.
- Licensed in Missouri
