This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about providing legal advice and support to businesses and individuals alike, on various employment law matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating complex employment issues, advocating for our clients, and ensuring they are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of employment law, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for justice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a broad range of employment matters including but not limited to: drafting and negotiating employment agreements, separation agreements, bonus plans, commission plans, and compensation arrangements.
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace misconduct allegations, including harassment and discrimination claims.
- Manage crisis situations effectively, minimizing legal risk and potential damage to our clients.
- Assist clients in addressing and overcoming career challenges through the development of strategic legal solutions.
- Draft standard employment documents and ensure they are legally sound and compliant with current laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting compelling arguments and defending their interests.
- Stay updated on new laws, regulations, and industry trends that may affect our clients, and provide them with proactive legal advice accordingly.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional customer service and ensuring their legal needs are met and exceeded.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the State Bar and in good standing.
- 4-6 years of experience in employment law, with a proven track record in handling a variety of employment issues.
- Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents.
- Exceptional knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with a focus on issues such as misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and compensation arrangements.
- Strong crisis management skills, with the ability to handle high-stress situations effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate for our clients effectively.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a heavy workload and multiple client matters simultaneously.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
