Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling. The role offers the chance to work with a broad array of clients ranging from innovative startups to established Fortune 500 companies in industries such as technology, life sciences, green energy, and cleantech. The ideal candidate will be involved in significant litigation cases, advising clients on employment mobility, day-to-day employment law issues, and complex corporate transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Litigate employment-related cases, including trade secret misappropriation, non-compete agreements, sexual harassment, and discrimination claims.
- Provide daily legal advice to fast-growing companies on a range of employment matters, such as terminations, leaves of absence, and policy drafting.
- Counsel clients on employment mobility issues, including trade secrets and non-solicitation agreements.
- Advise clients on employment-related concerns in corporate mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
- Conduct internal investigations and provide recommendations to resolve potential disputes.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to craft effective strategies in handling employment law matters.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of management-side employment law litigation experience.
- Strong background in advising technology companies on employment law issues.
- Experience handling trade secret matters, non-compete agreements, and employment disputes.
- Expertise in counseling clients during corporate transactions, particularly regarding employment matters.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Active membership in the California Bar preferred, with residency in Palo Alto or San Francisco highly desirable.
