About the Job
This position coordinates the recruiting and staffing of medical support staff for hospital and clinic locations.
Pay: $37.50/hr
Responsibilities:- Recruits qualified medical support staff to work in client clinic locations through employment ads, referrals, cold calls, etc.
- Initiates the placement of employment ads in various sources, to include, but not limited to, the internet and newspapers
- Reviews resumes received, phone screens qualified applicants, schedules and coordinates on site interviews, schedules site visits, and extends job offers
- Coordinates paperwork necessary to comply with site and Human Resources systems and programs, e.g. credentials, tax forms, I-9s, Lawson Action Forms (LAF), applicant tracking data, etc.
- Sends letters of rejection to applicants who are not selected
- Conducts salary surveys as needed and requested to determine market rates for positions at specified locations
- Coordinates shift replacement for medical support staff, as needed
- Collects, reviews, and audits medical support staff timesheets, as needed
- Assists medical support staff in resolving any payroll or personnel problems
- Instructs medical support staff on company policies and procedures, and counsels employees to correct performance issues
- Serves as a liaison between employees and organization, and provides customer service to employees in the field
- Conducts performance evaluations for medical support staff and recommends merit increases
- Counsels and determines disciplinary action for site employees, as needed
- Maintains records to ensure Affirmative Action compliance
- Coordinates/assists in scheduling employees at contract sites each month and ensures that required contract hours are filled by staff members, as needed
- Assists in the development and implementation of ideas and programs to improve recruiting and retention of medical support staff
- Has periodic on-call responsibility to handle problems, schedule changes/cancellations, etc., for nights, weekends and some holidays
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Requires superior organizational skills
- Must be able to use judgment in determining qualifications of medical support staff and in responding to employee relations issues
- Advanced proficiency in various computer applications, e.g. word processing, excel spreadsheet, e-mail, database management and presentation software
- Ability to handle stress
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large workload within tight deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential data
- Ability to adapt to change
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written, with an emphasis in grammar)

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
