EMT - Advanced - Emergency Medical Services - Full Time - Covington County Hospital

Provides basic and advanced level (within the scope of practice), non-emergency and emergency treatment and transportation services for patients experiencing acute and chronic illness and/or injuries. Must have Certificate of Adult education in paramedicine, Associate Degree preferred.

Health, Dental + Vision Insurance; PTO/STO; Short term/Long Term Disability.

• Must be National Registered
• Mississippi Certified as an AEMT
• Must be Mississippi certified as EMS Driver
• Experienced preferred
• BLS Certified

EMT Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds.
• Provide life support care, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), when needed.
• Assess a patient's conditions and provide initial treatment.
• Communicate with other emergency services, such as firefighters and police officers, to respond to calls for help
