Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EMT to join our client’s team as a Front Desk and Triage Specialist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, ensuring a welcoming environment while providing essential triage support. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality care efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Operations:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with registration processes.
- Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in records.
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments.
Triage Duties:
- Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine urgency and need for care.
- Gather vital signs and medical history, documenting information accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to prioritize patient care based on triage protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding wait times and treatment processes.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized and confidential patient records.
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Support clinical staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Valid EMT certification.
- CPR and First Aid certifications.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
- Lives local or willing to relocate.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
