Endoscopic Technician (13042) - InGenesis

InGenesis is currently seeking an Endoscopic Technician to work with our client in Houston, TX. In this role, you will assist in the coordination of patient care activities for endoscopic procedures.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for the set-up, maintenance, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of all endoscopic, ultra-sound, and laser equipment used in endoscopic procedures.
• Cleans and prepares procedure rooms.
• Assists the physician and registered nurse in caring for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Transports patients to appropriate locations.
• Creates and edits report templates to be generated by the physicians.
• Ensures dictated reports contain all pertinent information.
• Contributes to maintaining inventory of supplies to provide full service to endoscopy.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance.
• Participates in continuous monitoring and quality improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from a surgical technologist program preferred.
• One (1) year of endoscopy experience
• Certification from an approved endoscopy education program or graduation from a surgical technologist school may be substituted for the required experience.
