About the Job
Work with the engineering and operations team to develop and test solid rocket motor and energetic manufacturing systems.
Perform manual and automated production tasks including accurate measurement of chemicals, operation of production machinery, material handling, processing of energetic material, and maintaining production records.
Work safely by accurately and strictly following established standard operating procedures and following safety rules.
Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
Associate degree in a technical field, completion of relevant technical training, or prior hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of operations experience in manufacturing, chemical production, laboratory operations, or related field.
Eagerness to learn new ideas and put them into practice.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management skills.
Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, including:
Be 21 years of age or older.
Pass pre-employment drug test.
Pass State and Federal background checks.
Desired
Experience with handling and testing of energetic materials.
Prior experience in manufacturing or working with explosives preferred.
Experience with automated manufacturing systems.
CAD/CAM programming and CNC machine operation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Comfortable sitting, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Exposure to industrial machines, heat, cold, and explosives.
- Frequent movement through a manufacturing environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment appropriate to the work location.

The pay range for this role is:
24 - 34 USD per hour(Penrose)
