Restore Consulting LLC is looking for a STRUCTURAL RESTORATION ENGINEER in Michigan. This position is fully remote in the Michigan area with a flexible schedule. Job duties include engineering relative to evaluating and restoring existing structures in Michigan and across the US. Types of structures include parking structures, industrial buildings, building facades, plazas, pedestrian bridges and stadiums. Requirements
- Applicant must live in Michigan.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Structural Engineering concentration. Master's degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering is a plus.
- Structural and/or restoration experience a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, AIA license or ability to work toward licensure required.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
- Ability/willingness to travel.
- Experience in structural design, property condition assessments, building facades, historical buildings, roofing, and drone evaluations a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating existing structures for structural condition and repair needs.
- Structural analysis of existing structures.
- Develop cost estimates/budgets for restoration.
- Write physical condition assessment reports.
- Design and develop restoration drawings and specifications including structural analysis as required.
- Provide construction administration during restoration including shop drawing and construction site review.
- Perform design document review/construction site visits/testing on building enclosures of new buildings.

- Experience with structural engineering analysis programs.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Working understanding of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of materials including concrete, steel, masonry, timber, waterproofing materials and building enclosure components.
- Training will be provided in skill or experience areas that the candidate does not have.
