WHAT CAN MM ENGINEERING DO FOR YOU?
- Sharpen ability in design using various materials such as wood, concrete, masonry, and steel.
- Enhance skills in engineering software such as RISA, CAD, Revit, SRWall, QuickMasonry, etc.
- Provide continuing education courses to increase your engineering knowledge.
- Help gain familiarity of the various building code documents.
- Teach how to put together material cost estimates for engineered buildings.
- Guidance by licensed engineers down your path to becoming a licensed professional engineer.
E.I.T. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the engineering team to provide structural calculations for various building components.
- Research building code requirements for both structural and architectural features.
- Communicate with owners/contractors to understand project scope.
- Gain ability to use software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, SRWall, QuickMasonry etc.
- Review and markup prints provided by drafting department.
- Support co-workers to resolve complicated structural designs.
- Create material list estimates for engineered buildings.
- Attend company provided continuing education courses to enhance professional development.
- Assist in research and development of products used in the building industry.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Basic Software knowledge (Word / Excel)
- General Engineering Concepts (Statics / Dynamics)
- Sound Judgment
- Critical Thinking
- Mathematical Skills
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
- Finite Analysis programs such as RISA
- Drawing Programs such as AutoCAD or Revit
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
