What you will be doing:
You will learn and further develop both technical and non-technical skillsets to become a solid engineering consultant
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform drainage plan reviews. This work will be performed in an outside office.
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge in the use, and application of current technologies, design techniques, procedures, regulations, materials, and specifications.
- Support the project manager with proposal development, work plan development, coordination of multi-discipline projects, monitoring of schedules and budgets, attendance of project client and team meetings to assist with coordination and development of project requirements.
- Conduct field surveys and substantial completion audits.
- Perform advanced engineering calculations and check project team members’ calculations.
- Utilizing design software develop and prepare scalable plans and diagrams such as Land Development and Erosion and Sedimentation (E&S) Plans.
- Process shop drawings, respond to RFI's, edit specifications, create charts and schedules, and develop cost estimates.
- Perform QA/QC procedures and administer quality control procedures throughout project development.
- Assist with technical solutions to construction problems.
- Attend meetings to assist the Project Manager in formulating project requirements.
- Support client through regulatory permitting and approval processes.
- Perform similar and related work as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an ABET college or university with a Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of design experience and at least 1 year of performing drainage design.
- Licensure: Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required, Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
