Our Precast Drafter position starts at $65,000 to $85,000.00, depending on experience. We also

Position Overview:
The Precast Engineer position primarily performs engineering calculations for the
design of Precast concrete structures comprising of various Structural and
Architectural members and their connections.
Essential Job Functions:
Works closely with Engineering Director to:
Perform detailed calculations of precast structural members using a
combination of hand calculations, excel sheets, MathCAD, RISA, Concise, SP
column etc. Calculations involve both analysis and design of members per the
relevant codes and standards.- Use AutoCAD to generate 2D details of designed connections to provide to
detailer. - Layout and/or assist with planning temporary and permanent connections of
precast members to structure. - Review EOR structural and Architectural drawings to extract relevant
information and design members and connections that are in sync with contract
drawings. - Generate or assist drafter with precast shop drawings and shop tickets.
- Review and check all generated drawings such as Erection drawings, Shop
tickets etc. - Perform calculations for field fixes.
- Put together calculation submittal packages for review by the Design Team.
- As needed, perform calculations to assist with Plant related projects.
- Verify code compliance for all design and calculations performed.
- Work with REVIT in the generation of drawings and details.
Requirements:
- Must have minimum of a BS in Engineering.
- Must have an EIT and be on track to achieve a PE license if not already licensed.
- Must be a proven team leader with supervisory and management skill sets.
- Process/Manufacturing Engineering experience in a precast concrete manufacturing
environment is preferred. - Must be proficient with computers and general engineering software solutions/
- As a minimum, experience with AutoCAD and RISA is required
- Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms.
- Experience with precast manufacturing process technologies preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in time and project management.
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing are a plus.
