About the Job
Essential Duties
- Review and approve shop orders and identify quality related requirements for purchase orders.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, and procedures.
- Perform source inspection at suppliers and conduct internal & external audits. Develop reports based on source inspection and audit results. Up to 50% travel may be required.
- Interface with all areas of the company, its customers and suppliers on quality issues. Initiate and maintain the implementation and closure of corrective actions. Participate in the resolution of corrective actions and verifications of actions implemented.
- Analyze nonconforming reports and returned products. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies to determine appropriate action and to solve a variety of problems.
- Implement methods of procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products. Performs a variety of duties to independently perform dimensional, visual, non-destructive testing, and test inspection of diversified components, assemblies and completed systems are fabricated in compliance with engineering approved documents.
- Develop, revise, apply and maintain quality procedures and documents. Participate in product development to assure all quality issues are addressed. Prepare quality plans.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety.
- Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.
- Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy.
Experience
Preferred- Position requires experience, initiative, ingenuity and the ability to work independently to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, blueprints, schematics and technical data. Ability to interpret and write technical procedures and documents. Firm understanding and use with precision measuring devices and techniques used to measure component characteristics.
