ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate across diverse functions (i.e. CRNPs, EF Coaches, Speech therapists) to develop our products and tools
- Engineer technology to improve patient care, enhance healthcare processes, and contributions towards the advancement and scale of Blackbird mental health services:
- Actively participate in continuous testing of functionality and quality assurance processes to identify and fix bugs, vulnerabilities, and performance issues; ensuring the reliability and accuracy of healthcare software
- Develop applications that streamline healthcare workflows, making processes more efficient:
- Deliver a positive communication experience from first visit to post discharge for families and healthcare professionals
- Design user-friendly interfaces for the clinical team to record patient data, manage appointments, or access medical information easily
- Utilize data and service architectures to enhance patient outcomes
- Integrate various healthcare applications and systems to enable smooth data exchange, interoperability, and communication between different healthcare providers and institutions
- Lead projects involving data analysis to identify patterns, predict patient outcomes and optimize treatment plans with a data-driven approach to elevate the standard of care
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering domain
- Minimum 3 years of related experience, which may include healthcare information technologies, workflow experiences, data science, machine learning, A/B experimentation, SaaS, IaaS, etc
- A full-stack contributor experienced in user experience, backend services, authorization, schema, and storage
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to complete projects with dependencies and constraints on time
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall project methodologies
- Experience with EHR/EMR system programmability
- Experience in clinical decision support systems utilized by clinicians and administrators
- Analytical; capable of understanding complex situations and quickly identifying steps to simplify
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, provider partners and colleagues
- Open to professional feedback and interested in working in a supportive and collegial environment
- Flexibility to adjust to a dynamic work environment
- Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
