Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations, and improving product quality. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, equipment optimization, and the application of engineering principles to enhance production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth integration of new products and technologies into manufacturing.
- Conduct time and motion studies, process simulations, and workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Manage and support new product introductions (NPI) from design to production, ensuring manufacturing processes are scalable and meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive operational excellence.
- Perform root cause analysis for production-related problems and implement corrective actions.
- Support the selection, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and technology.
- Maintain documentation related to engineering changes, product specifications, and manufacturing process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards in all manufacturing activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in [industry-specific experience].
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, welding, injection molding, or other relevant methods.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering principles to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
- Familiarity with quality control methods, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing, automation, robotics).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 9001 or TS16949.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour
