Position Summary
ALL Tower Crane, LLC is seeking an entry level Engineer to provide professional engineering services to support customer needs, and lift operations with an emphasis on tower crane applications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits in a casual office environment.
Essential Functions
- Gain a comprehensive knowledge of the crane fleet and associated specifications for each model.
- Check contractor plans and drawings related to lift needs.
- Generate coverage plans, elevations and renderings of lift projects.
- Produce design and engineering tools, and templates to automate repetitive tasks.
- Provide timely responses to customer’s requests for information related to lift activities.
- Author repair procedures for non-critical structural repairs.
- Complete crane layouts and component designs.
- Aid sales staff in crane selection, job layout and assist with crane sizing.
- Review site-specific requirements and crane capabilities.
- Act as an assembly/disassembly liaison and expeditor for local projects.
- Serve as a consultant to other branches and divisions for engineering requests.
- Review and interpret design codes (ASCE, IBC, ASME, FEM, Eurocode).
- Answer general jobsite questions related to the installation and use of lift equipment.
- Follow Corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations at Company facilities and work sites.
- Fulfill other job related roles and responsibilities as needed.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.
- Able to sit for longs periods of time.
- Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience with NexGen maintenance software is a plus
