Engineering Assistant - CHAMPION FIBERGLASS, INC.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Engineering Assistant. This individual is responsible for preparing product drawings and project bill of materials, maintaining equipment parts lists, orders parts, schedules deliveries and reconciles invoices for parts, as instructed by the Engineering Supervisor, or designee.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/ ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Must be able to read and write in English or Spanish.

• Capable of understanding and supporting quality, environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, as applicable to this position.
• At the direction of the Engineering Supervisor, or designee:
• Prepares engineering drawings of company’s standard products using CAD software in 2D and 3D (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, etc.).
• Program using CAM software for CNC Machines / Router.
• Assists in the product development process by preparing engineering sketches and drawings from prototype products or samples.
• Prepares other engineering drawings, as needed.
• Prepares Bill of Materials for projects

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OTHER SKILLS

High School graduate required, minimum 2 years drafting experience, plus working knowledge or experience using CAD software, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
