Advanced AV Field Engineer Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Advanced AV Field Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AV design and deployment, from concept to completion, with a focus on creating state-of-the-art conference rooms and AV environments.
This role requires expertise in AV technology, project management, and vendor coordination, as well as the ability to work independently and proactively.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy advanced audiovisual (AV) systems from the ground up, including acoustics, lighting, and other technologies for conference rooms.
Provide expert support for Google Video Conferencing (VC) hardware and other AV equipment.
Serve as an escalation point for configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting advanced AV equipment in the field, including Crestron systems, audio DSPs, video conferencing hardware, LED walls, and Dante/AES microphone systems.
Manage large-scale AV projects from planning through to completion, ensuring all standards and specifications are met.
Oversee AV integration on both the integrator and corporate side, focusing on physical installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
Develop, maintain, and enforce inventory management protocols for AV equipment.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of networking technology, including video transmission over networks and audio/video signal flow.
Collaborate with and manage relationships with various vendors, suppliers, and integrators to ensure smooth project delivery.
Independently prioritize tasks and projects while accurately forecasting upcoming project needs.
Be open to domestic travel as needed to support projects across different locations. Qualifications:
Extensive experience in AV design, deployment, and support, particularly with conference room technology.
CTS, CTS-D certifications are highly preferred.
Advanced AV field engineering experience, particularly with Crestron equipment, audio DSPs, video conferencing hardware, LED walls, and Dante/AES microphone systems.
Proven project management experience with large-scale AV projects, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and the ability to create and maintain standards.
In-depth knowledge of networking technology related to AV, including video transmission over networks and AV signal flow.
Experience deploying inventory management.
