About the Job
Position Requirements:
- Must have 3 to 5 years of relevant civil/site development engineering design experience.
- Experience must be full-time engineer. Internship experience is great, but cannot be considered in the 3-year experience minimum.
- EIT is required
- Computer proficiency is required, including Microsoft Office Programs
- AutoCAD experience is required. Candidate must be able to create construction documents in CAD. Civil 3D is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with MicroStation is preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to mentor entry level engineers and interns
- Ability and desire to work in team environment
- Willingness to work on variety of projects
- Ability to work dynamically and effectively with clients and project team members
- Site Development/ Land Development experience required
KPFF's Special Projects Division, located near the heart of downtown Long Beach, CA, and is a 17+ person part of a dynamic 110+ person group that provides planning, civil, structural, and mechanical engineering, machinery design, construction management, and project management. We provide these services on a wide range of project types through all stages of development. Our work generally leans toward heavy civil and industrial infrastructure throughout the US West Coast and requires us to solve unusual challenges frequently with non-codified solutions.

- Site Development/ Land Development (Residential sites, commercial sites, educational facilities and others)
- Linear Utility Projects
- Street Improvements
- Design/Build
- Transportation Infrastructure

Our work generally leans toward heavy civil, structural, industrial and waterfront infrastructure throughout the US, although this position will include site development work. We are frequently tasked with solving unusual, multi-discipline challenges that require an innovative and team-oriented approach.
