Engineering Co-Op - Power Partners

Power Partners is on the lookout for an enthusiastic co-op student to become part of the Process Engineering team at our Athens, GA location. This co-op position offers a unique chance to dive into a large-scale manufacturing environment and put engineering theories into practice. You'll acquire in-depth insights into the transformer industry and play a supportive role in the execution of capital projects alongside the Process Engineering team.

• Revise electrical schematics and update plant layout drawings for the installation of new equipment.
• Utilize SolidWorks to design and prototype parts and machinery.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers to guarantee the correct installation of new equipment.
• Create documentation for new processes to facilitate operator training.
• Acquire foundational knowledge in PLC and HMI programming.
• Spearhead initiatives to enhance factory throughput.

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work in teams and to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
