SUMMARY:
Our Client - a leading Utilities Organization - is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to bring onto the team. Please see below for details:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Establishes good communication with all Districts in order to receive necessary information for contract preparation, including all info needed for verification.
- Is able to review land rights documents and verify ownership including grant deed, title report, parcel maps, tract maps, etc.
- Is able to review insurance information and verify appropriate limits, expiration, and company listed as additional insured
- Is able to review contractor's license documentation and verify all necessary information.
- Is independent and proficient in utilizing public data such as county recorder's websites and CA Secretary of State Business Search tools to perform these tasks
- Is able to become proficient in utilizing company Accounting and Project management software, Power Plan to review project information including deposits and finances.
- Is able to verify easement metes and bounds and confirm areas deeded match design drawing needs
- Prepares of Agreement, Quitclaim of Underground Water Rights, Grant of Easement and other documents as needed
- Prepares standard form documents for execution and recording with County recorders including Quitclaim of Underground Water Rights, Grant of Easements and Main Extension Agreements.
- Is able to sort through project information and determine appropriate contract type based on Company Operating Rules, and communication with District and Engineering staff.
- Is extremely detail oriented in preparing contracts, ensuring no errors, typos or misspellings.
- Is consistent in work product, ensure a reliable and repeatable product is produced
- Works well with manager and others to communicate when issues arise and propose solutions.
- Is comfortable routing documents for execution via e-sign
- Works closely with Accounting Department to help close projects
- Is able to comprehensively track up to 70+ contracts per year in various stages and produce reports on volumes completed
- Is able to verify closing documents including acceptance of facilities and developer cost statement are completed correctly
- Works well with Accounting to deliver project information for closing
- Works well with Accounting to troubleshoot historical projects that may have information to be chased down
- Organization and Project Tracking:
- Is able to keep detailed logs, updated daily of all agreements and their status accurate, organized, and shared appropriately
- Keeps folders, physical and soft copy well organized and in accordance with established structure
- Takes initiative to remind groups including District staff of outstanding information needed to complete required next step including preparation of agreement or closing documents.
