Responsibilities:- Designs and specifies project appropriate engineering requirements
- Prepares engineering documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints
- Sets up and manages complex Revit models
- Performs Revit modeling and detailing
- Participate in BIM best practice standards development
- Conducts site investigation and observations
- Performs cross-discipline discussions and coordination of work for system clash avoidance
- Participates with performing construction contract administration. Responsibilities could include: Review of shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, solving construction issues, performing site visits to assess general conformance with design concept, incorporating agreed upon changes to contract documents
- Mentor and encourage the development of junior staff
- Attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development
- Travel for project- related activities may be required
- 10+ years experience, large project experience
- Associates Degree from Technical College or 4-year non-engineering degree
General Characteristics
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards
- Production experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD required
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency using industry standard calculation software required
- Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
