About the Job
Ziegler CAT is hiring an Engineering Intern to help support our Sales Application Engineers in the Power Systems Division providing OEMs with Caterpillar Industrial Engines.Responsibilities:
Main focus will include reviewing, editing, and working with Inside OEM Sales Engineers to update current build instructions
Demonstrate the application of basic Engineering tools/ principles and evidence of creative thinking
Investigates product problems, understands basic diesel engine operation, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results with guidance from more experienced team members.
Obtains input from internal stakeholders such as warehouse employees, technicians, technical communicators, project leaders, and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to improved process decisions.
Provides independent execution of established work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge; engages with the improvement of systems and processes.
Perform typically as an individual contributor within or in support of a team
- Plans, organizes, and leads small project teams
Contributes effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
Qualifications:
Engineering college student in between semesters
Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Preferred.
Computer Skills; Proficient in standard Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF
Excellent oral and written communication skills
