Engineering Liaison at STS Technical Services

STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled Engineering Liaison to join our client’s team in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The Engineering Liaison will ensure seamless communication between assembly, purchasing, and engineering, focusing on product safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the point of contact for all engineering-related queries from production or purchasing.
• Resolve issues with engineering designs and bills of material.
• Maintain an issue log database to prevent recurring mistakes.
• Develop solutions for customer orders and engineering change requests (ECR).
• Generate and administer engineering deviations.
• Assist with tooling development for manufacturing.
• Participate in daily production meetings to report on engineering design status.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably with Solidworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility in scheduling.
• Ability to engage in Lean principles and continuous improvement activities.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of work-related experience.
• Experience in vehicle design/production and supporting manufacturing environments is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily operates in an office environment with occasional work in warehouse settings.
• PPE required for warehouse and production floor areas.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.
