About the role
What you"ll do
Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance staff
Lead multiple manufacturing processes
Implement and maintain manufacturing methodologies and systems
Oversee improvements in manufacturing efficiency and quality by analyzing and modifying machine programs, procuring the optimal materials and equipment, and standardizing processes/materials/tooling
Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts
Determine changes in part requirements by inspecting and measuring various instruments
Maintain inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock and placing orders appropriately
Train production works on routine preventative maintenance
Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and service requests
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Qualifications
BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline) preferred, or sufficient experience
Ability to operate and understand machinery and technical equipment
In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
GMP and ISO experience preferred
Experience with process manufacturing preferred
Skilled in analyzing information, creating reports, and crafting SOPs and Work Instructions
Experience with 5s and Lean Manufacturing preferred
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
Ability to communicate cross-functionally with respect
Passion for training, mentoring, and teaching others of all levels of knowledge/experience
