We are currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Engineering Manager for Capital Projects with our Food Manufacturing client. This role is a unique opportunity to lead and manage large-scale capital projects, while ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will be at the forefront of innovation, working closely with our teams to design, implement, and optimize our production and manufacturing processes. Your work will have a direct impact on our company's success, making this a highly rewarding role for anyone passionate about engineering, problem-solving, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Manager for Capital Projects, you will:
1. Lead and oversee the execution of capital projects, from initial planning and budgeting to final implementation and evaluation.
2. Work closely with various teams to understand their needs and translate them into effective, efficient, and innovative engineering solutions.
3. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and facilities, ensuring they meet all safety, quality, and performance standards.
5. Maintain and optimize existing manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
6. Manage and mentor a team of engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to food safety and quality.
8. Collaborate with other departments to support the overall strategic objectives of the company.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification would be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment in addition to managing capital projects in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the food sector.
3. Strong knowledge of PLCs and their application in manufacturing processes.
4. Proven experience in managing facilities and installations, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
5. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for finding innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
9. A deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, including the latest trends and technologies.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
