Engineering Manager
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, delegation and execution of routine and corrective maintenance including fire life, safety, health, energy and all additional prescribed procedures by the company and OSHA.
- Maximize utilization of Centralized Maintenance Management Software; usage of Energy Management System
- Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed
- Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity, and a strong work ethic
- Understands hourly positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence or during peak volume periods
- Adhere to company procurement procedures
- Communicate on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the facility
- Keep records and technical data well organized; have basic knowledge of building codes
- Actively train in fire prevention, environmental health and safety, and engineering systems
- Oversee water treatment programs
Qualifications:

- High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3-5 years in a major hotel, hospital, or building, 1 year in a supervisory capacity
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits
- Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
- Physical demands:
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally. Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis, able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), possibly for one hour or more
