To be considered for the Engineering Manager opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree in engineering preferred)
- 10+ years of directly related experience with a minimum of two years of engineering leadership experience within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Experience planning and performing product verification and certification testing, including development of test requirements.
- Working knowledge of military technical specifications and documentation requirements.
- Experience working with and adhering to Aerospace and Defense regulation.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems and Strategy
- Experience with Counterfeit Parts Prevention Program (CPPP) requirements.
- Knowledge of government bids and proposals.
As an Engineering Manager, you will:
- Review and process Government solicitations and related technical data packages for feasibility to build, design and test.
- Write test reports, deviation requests, and technical specifications for products.
- Implement Product Lifecycle Management Strategy for Engineering Department
- Develop Engineering department to become a Design Engineering Center of Excellence
- Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
- Improve engineering processes and procedures and ensure they are applied correctly.
- Lead engineering proposal development ensuring proper Engineering material and labor estimates for NRE.
- Review complex and legacy specifications and drawings.
- Pay attention to details and ensure compliance to technical requirements
- Develop detailed plans for new designs and products.
- Lead staff and delegate tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
- Conduct risk management.
- Present new business opportunities to potential customers.
- Manage parts obsolescence and develop mitigation plans.
- Write Request for Variance (RFV) when parts used in assemblies are changed.
