Job Description:
This position is for a Project Manager that will be responsible for both Stryker Contractor Test Support (CTS) and Stryker Systems Integration Lab (SIL) Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects. This role will be responsible for ensuring successful execution of USG funded Stryker Test activities, working directly with the USG, Test Site personnel, and various functional areas within GDLS. This role is also responsible for ensuring Stryker SIL CAPEX projects are identified, estimated, presented and when funded, executed within in budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
Stryker Contractor Test Support (CTS) Project Management Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management of schedule, budget, test site needs, and funds allocation between Sterling Heights and London, Ontario, and between the field (test sites) and home office support (Sterling Heights and London)
- Represent Engineering in internal GDLS meetings and external USG Customer meetings
- Facilitates Engineering Estimates derived from USG Requests for Cost Estimates
- Review of Monthly Performance Summary issued by SHC Finance, providing ETCs, and other pertinent information
- Daily updates to schedule in coordination with field, home, and customer
- Tracking of actuals for BASE and all separately funded tests
- Ensure all stakeholders have latest schedule information and work authorizations
- Management of Home Office Support: CDRLs, reliability analysis, material acquisition (PMCS and spares), vehicle & equipment tracking, SME support, equip. payback
- Weekly updates to GDLS demand file
- Lead weekly meetings with Lead FER and Supervisor, Product Readiness Team on schedule and inventory/inventory control
- Support of weekly USG hosted meeting
Stryker Systems Integration Lab (SIL) Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Responsibilities:
- Solicit input for future year’s Stryker SIL needs for CAPEX requests
- Develop, submit, and present future year’s CAPEX request to the Capital Planning Team
- Manage budget, schedule, and performance for current year’s authorized CAPEX Projects
- Coordinate CAPEX activities and CAPEX equipment installation into Stryker SIL with Stryker SIL Sustainment team
- If meeting funding threshold, and in coordination with Stryker SIL Sustainment, submit emergency CAPEX requests
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Business Management, Information System, Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline
- 7 - 10 years relevant experience in the engineering/defense industries.
- Demonstrated project engineering and/or program experience.
- Proven experience in technical interface with customers and ability to lead multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Organizational capabilities to direct and lead others in a team based and collaborative environment.
- Analytical skills and ability to direct and consult on technical issues and corrective actions.
- Willing to travel (domestic and/or foreign) as needed.
- Proficiency in Windows OS & Microsoft Office with adequate computer skills to manage the development of presentations and other methods of media display.
- Knowledge of business finances, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), scheduling tools, and critical path analysis.
- Significant experience with US Government programs
- Knowledge of GDLS products, processes, and capabilities
- This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible)
