Engineering Support Specialist - The Copper River Family of Companies

About the Job
We are seeking a part-time Engineering Support Specialist to provide comprehensive programmatic and technical support at NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic installations. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of Government personnel and contribute to various engineering disciplines, including project management, scheduling, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Support:
- Assist in programmatic master scheduling and cost estimating for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Review and analyze contractor schedules to ensure project timelines are met.
- Provide safety, commissioning, and fire protection engineering support as needed.
- Support submittal reviews to maintain project quality and compliance.
- Technical Support:
- Provide design and project management support, including developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
- Assist with project planning, programming, design, and construction product delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent NAVFAC MIDLANT policies, positions, procedures, and interests in meetings with team members, base representatives, contractors, and regulators.
- Information Management:
- Provide support for information and database management to ensure accurate and timely project documentation and reporting.
- Specialized Support:
- Support environmental compliance needs, including NEPA, MILCON, and EMS processes, ensuring adherence to federal and NAVFAC standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in engineering support, project management, or environmental compliance is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools.
