Job Description
Skyworks is seeking a hands-on technician to join our Woburn Test Engineering Team.
Overall responsibilities: Supports engineering activities such as, manual test and calibrations, as well as operating semi-automated and automated test equipment. Performs routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Works from software guided test platforms, schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions. Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods. Documents test results, maintain logs and records indicating pass/fail results and yields. May perform simple repairs and/or component removal or replacement.
Basic Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum of 1-2 years of directly relevant experience
• Proficiency in surface mount soldering
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and adherence to best electrical practices
• Experience with hot air rework techniques
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics accurately
• Excellent manual dexterity for microscopic work
• Strong organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail and process compliance
• Understanding of laboratory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities in a dynamic work environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and handlers for semiconductor testing
• Experience complex soldering and re-work techniques on printed circuits boards
• Experience manual test utilizing tweezers for part manipulation
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $23.41 - $40.72 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
