Job Description
Based in Newbury Park, CA
Skyworks is seeking a responsible and motivated Product and Test Engineering Technician who will provide support in ATE lab. We are looking for an individual with knowledge of analog semiconductors and ATE test/equipment, who will help achieve project schedules and maintain productive work environment.
The ideal candidates will be highly organized, can communicate effectively and reliably and have a strong commitment to go above and beyond in a dynamic engineering-focused location. In this role, you will be assisting PEs, TEs and PMs of multiple products and test engineering development projects from initial phases through production launch.
Responsibilities
This technician position will perform multiple activities supporting Test and Quality engineers with RF electronics testing. Position responsibilities include setting up Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), test handlers and manual test stations to perform electrical tests on circuits, components, and mechanical assemblies. Candidates should have the ability to troubleshooting low performance specifications per engineer instructions. Additionally, candidates should be strong multitaskers with the ability to oversee testing and handle documentation of test results
Required Experience and Skills
- Candidate should have knowledge of RF and amplifiers, Associate degree or six years of relevant experience
- Experience with Automatic Test Equipment
- Using hand tools (Tweezers, Vacuum Pencils, Soldering Iron, hot plate is preferred)
- Knowledge and hands on experience with test equipment: DC supplies and multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscope, signal generators, power meters, power supplies, and specialized test apparatus
- Knowledge with turret, pick and place handlers, and AOI equipment
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshoot functions
- Experience with Windows and Unix OS is preferred. Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of programing is required
- Ability to interpret data, basic understanding of voltage, current, power
- Works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must have team-oriented attitude, accountability and ownership
- Ability to work independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments/projects

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $32.69 - $57.16 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
