Job Description  REQ-8039

The Engineering Technician will work closely with engineering to build, and service electro-mechanical systems.  He/she may also assist with manufacturing and contribute to design.  He/she will be working on a variety of systems consisting of electrical cables, power supplies, computers, custom circuit cards, and mechanical racks.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of working with engineering to build prototypes
• 2+ years of soldering experience; both surface mount and PCB
• 2+ years electrical cable assembly (crimping and soldering)
• 2+ year of troubleshooting electrical assemblies, and documentation
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.  Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.

• Laboratory Management

Physical Requirements:

• Mechanical Assembly; lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted, up to 4 feet off the ground. Also, team lift for heavy objects
