Engineering Technician - Pruitt Tool & Supply Co Inc

Pruitt Tool & Supply, Co. is currently seeking candidates for an Engineering Technician at our corporate offices in Fort Smith, AR.

We are an API Q1 Quality Management Certified company and we manufacture/refurbish specialized drilling equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

We are seeking candidates to work as part of the Engineering Department to aid in the development of drawings, schematics, and equipment design for new products, product re-designs, and testing. Incumbent will be able to develop "ideas" and "possibilities" into drawings containing specifying dimensions, materials and procedures for design. Additionally, incumbent will be responsible for estimating associated costs and materials and for examining drawings for conformity and errors. Candidate selected will develop a voice to be able to make suggestions independently from Engineers. Incumbent will make revisions based on feedback received and will maintain records of all revisions created during the design process.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience utilizing CAD and must be mechanically inclined and understand Engineering terminology. Position requires an Associate Degree in CAD OR 10 years equivalent work history. Incumbent must be capable of engaging in innovative, outside-the-box thinking when striving to improve processes, equipment, design, etc. Candidate selected will be capable of working independently and as part of a team and must be capable of working on multiple projects with varying levels of complexity.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Autodesk Inventor and Autocad, Microsoft Office 365, and Newforma Project Center.

Candidate selected must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
