ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineering Technician III to join our team in Hollywood, FL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Performs a variety of software and/or hardware engineering activities of an assembly, analysis, design, or test nature
+ Participates on project teams and performs alongside engineers and technical staff
+ Plans and conducts research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification
+ Engages with Senior Engineers for design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementing technical solutions associated with US Navy related acoustics systems
+ Supports assembly, operation and maintenance of complex portable data acquisition systems including electric, electronic, and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and computer system operation
Basic Qualifications:
+ HS Diploma or GED
+ 3+ of experience with acoustic sensors and signal processing including a thorough understanding of in-water measurement arrays, equipment maintenance, and the interfacing of hardware and software for operation of measurement arrays
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Towed Array handling, installations, maintenance, and operation in US Navy environment
+ Advanced technician skills, soldering, and troubleshooting electronic equipment
+ Periodic travel (~5 times a year historically) is desired
Security Clearance Requirements:
+ US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
+ Occasional minor physical work including carrying boxes and test equipment up to about 50 lbs or handling long cables.
+ Occasional waterfront support in an industrial warehouse or maritime environment
