The incumbent will be working in varying temperatures of high heat in the summer and cold in the winter preforming the following tasks: - Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices. - Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems. - Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment. - Modifies circuitry to improve performance. - Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems. - Provides operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel. - Prepares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation. - Assists engineering staff in determining and solving equipment design problems. - May perform quality assurance testing of assemblies and equipment fabricated by other technicians. - May provide work leadership to less-experienced technicians. - Participates in special projects, as required. Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.42 - $37.10. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
